[ The journey to the station, meeting up with the guy, relocating to their final destination and making the appropriate transaction in a seemingly empty room has all gone successfully enough. There's the unspoken concern for Nazuna's companion but that is a matter to be addressed once they've secured their privacy. He does glimpse up at the other boy as they proceed down the hall though he's soon distracted with searching for the room number that matches with his key card.

Ah.

Nazuna comes to an unannounced halt and blindly reaches behind him to grab at Asahi to prevent him from wandering further. While no apology is offered, he's quick to withdraw his hand to wordlessly focus on working the door open. There's a short click almost immediately and he pushes his weight against the door before the back handle unintentionally knocks against the wall and reveals the room in its full glory. After the light switch is flipped up, that is.

As his shoulders slump forward, Nazuna forces himself to stand properly once more. He peers over to Asahi nd jerks his head in the room's direction, expecting him to go inside first.

What's waiting for them isn't horribly lavish and just barely misses the mark of passing for a standard hotel room. There's a good sized bed at the far end, a television monitor hovering above a dresser, a miniature fridge and a door that presumably leads to a bathroom. But the lack of windows and one wall being partially lined with mirrors serves as a reminder of the room's purpose.

It's all stuff that is going to be investigated further in a second.

A sigh of relief leaves Nazuna when he finally steps inside. The hood of his jacket is pushed off his head when the door is closed. Okay, he can relax for two seconds. Now he squats down to get his shoes off. ]

This is all ours for the next three hours... ♪

They are. [He agrees, leaning back against his bed frame with a tiny sigh.]

But it's okay. I think I'm pretty used to you teasing me. And you came all this way, so you don't have to hold back now.

It almost sounds like you want me to tease you~? Are you a masochist?

[Well. That certainly is a whole accusation.... that Asahi can't quite deny. He averts his gaze and starts twiddling his fingers nervously.]

M-Maybe....?

[ He blinks and takes another gulp of water. ]

You're kinda weird, huh?

[ The glass rests against his knee only to then be gingerly placed on the floor. Nazuna turns himself so that he can face the other boy. What follows is delayed laughter. ]

I'm not interested in putting people down, you see~? So you're just going to be disappointed if you hang out with me for too long!

[Asahi certainly feels self-conscious at that comment, though Nito says it very casually. He frowns down at his own glass and shrugs.]

You don't have to do anything that would make you uncomfortable just for my sake. I can ignore it.

[ Asahi's not the only one who's now frowning as Nazuna looks at him a moment longer. ]

Just look at you now. It's obvious I said something wrong from teasing you and I don't like the face you're making. Why would I want to hurt a cute guy like you for fun? I wanna do more for you than that.

[ He cautiously reaches out to lightly place a hand on the other boy's knee for reassurance. ]

You didn't say anything wrong. [Asahi insists. He looks at the hand on his knee, which does make it easier to speak.] It just feels like something I should be ashamed of.

[ He shakes his head and quickly insists, ]

No, don't be ashamed! Nothing's wrong with being into something like that, I'm pretty sure? [ The hand slips to the floor as he leans forward. ] I just wouldn't want to hurt Asachin, that's all!

[ Though something about that statement prompts a pause. Nazuna straightens back up and the next words come out more slowly as they come to mind. ]

If it was all pretend... that'd be different? Though we'd need a safe word so we can differentiate between that in real life.

It's really fine. [Asahi says quickly, waving his hands.] I-I don't want to force you outside of your comfort zone. The things we did last week were fine!

But what's the fun in not trying stuff? [ Nazuna softly huffs. ] I like learning.

Is it something you want to do...?

[ Well, Asahi doesn't have to be the only one to confess something. ]

... I like playing the bad guy. It makes me feel cool~?

[Huh?]

W-Well, that's good? I mean, you don't have to be a bad guy, though. Just, um, rough? But, ah, if it makes you feel cool then that's okay too!

You... You want me to beat you up?

What? No! [Asahi shakes his head vehemently.] I just want. I dunno. I don't think any of that matters right now! I just want you to do what feels comfortable.

[ Is this guy asking him to forget that he pretty much said he likes it rough... ? Regardless of that possibility, Nazuna simply agrees with a nod. ]

Maybe Asachin can tell me more about his volleyball club~?

[Oh, good, a safe topic. Asahi's gaze drifts over to his uniform, the black and orange jersey with a '3' emblazoned on the chest that's hanging on the door of his closet. He smiles a little.]

Well, a few years ago Karasuno's team was really strong. They even made it to Nationals. That was when I was in middle school, though, and by the time I got there, they hadn't won in a long time. People were calling us "flightless crows." It was really hard to come back from that... but I think this year our chances are better than ever.

Oh, that's right... [ He thoughtlessly nods to himself. ] You mentioned that they had fallen from grace before. If you're confident in this season, though... that's a good thing, right? So it must say a lot about the club. What are your teammates like? You get along with a few of them, right?

[ Since Asahi obviously isn't the type to have sex with someone he doesn't like. Not that Asahi seems like he'd be the person to dislike anyone. ]

[Asahi nods, feeling proud as he thinks about his teammates.]

They're really incredible. We have some first years this year who are just- kind of unbelievable, honestly. And our libero, Nishinoya, he's amazing. We call him our 'Guardian Deity,' he just manages to save so many difficult balls. And the other third years, Daichi and Suga... the three of us have been through everything together.

It sounds like you're enjoying your youth... [ The short laugh that follows is gentle, not unkind. ] In a way, being a third year is kind of bittersweet~? But it's good you're able to embrace it and that you're looking forward to the time you are going to have together. You guys are fortunate to have each other, huh?

[Asahi nods.] I'm just trying not to think too much about it and do what I have to do for the team. I rely on them a lot, and I hope they aren't too disappointed when they have to rely on me.

Is that how you feel with your, ah, unit?

[ He shrugs. ]

I can't have any misgivings. They asked me to lead them and I agreed in spite of my inexperience. But I also can't make decisions without thinking. I just need them to not be disappointed with themselves.

But if they asked you, it's because they trust you. And I know you work hard for them. [He can tell even from the week of texting with Nito, and he knows Nito barely mentioned any of the things he was doing for them.]

I hope you don't leave high school with any regrets.

[ Lifting his glass, he states flatly, ]

They thought I was a girl when they asked me.

[ And then proceeds to gulp down the rest of his water. ]

[The statement itself, as well as the blunt delivery, make Asahi startle and flush a bit.]

A-ah, well... that's strange. But what do they think about you now..?
